CL-12 French General Projects

Our charming and striking selection of woven ribbons are based on traditional early eighteenth century designs from the Provence region of France
They were used as a staple of homeware and home decoration in this particular, iconographic color palette of red and ivory. These classic and refined rendering of original exotic motifs inspired the French Textile industry early on… floral garlands and sprays, hoopoes, lily of the valley, delicate hearts.
The colors are based on natural pigments, rich ochres to deep red found naturally in Provencal soil (Roussillon) And nowadays, US based textile company French General have made available-for many years- this fabulous French Provencal style
